Artist statement
My work attempts to address domestic disturbance within the family unit. I am concerned with aspects of the mother and female identity. At present the methodology of such is constantly evolving. Most of it could be considered as craft but simply because these objects are loved and nurtured, I am keen to keep using a more traditional method of making, a method that relates to womanhood and nurturing.
