Artist statement

The video portraits the composition of an image from bodies in space in a structured, balanced and organized way (freezing of a choreographic image), in which the bodies, in relation with time, and because of their physical limitations, in one minute they will destroy the image's initial composition.

Screened Channel 4, England; 11.472 in the Barge House, Oxo Tower Wharf, England; 53rd International Shortfilm Festival in Oberhausen, Germany; independent film festival IndieLisboa 2007, Portugal; XIVª Edition of Portuguese Cinema and recently was selected for the international art exhibition ArtExpo 2007 Liquid room, Ljubljana; international dance film festival Frame, Porto, Portugal; 7th International festival VideoDance2007, in Athens and Thessaloniki, Greece and in the film festival Cineport 2007 in Paraíba, Brazil.
2006 Video Pedestrians:
Exhibited at Portuguese young creators festival Jovens Criadores, Portugal; Leeds international film festival Jump Shorts, England; 2nd international dance film festival EDIT, Poland; dance film festival Frame, Portugal; and recently was selected for the international art exhibition ArtExpo 2007 Liquid room in Ljubljana.
2005/06 Video Animais:
Animais received an award in the video festival Até Breves, Portugal and was exhibited at: dance film festival Frame, Porto, Portugal; collective exhibition Identikit, England; at Casa das Artes, Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal; dance film festival Dance on Screen, London, England; in the film festival Rewind, Hampshire, England; 2nd edition of eu-stuart.si European art students digital works- will tour Slovenia for one year, starting September 2006 and ending June 2007 in Ljubljana; show case Noite dos Realizadores, Portugal; dance film show case curetted by Alberto Magno, Portugal; and recently was selected for the performance art festival Act Art 2007, London, England.
